ENROLLMENT

FPP welcomes children of all faiths, cultures, and developmental abilities. Classes are open to any child regardless of race, religion, gender, or national origin.

Open House and Tours

FPP holds an Open House for prospective families in January each year. The specific date and time for the Open House is posted on our Homepage. No reservation is needed to attend the Open House, and your child is welcome to attend with you. Separate child care, however, is not provided.

The Preschool Director also gives individual tours upon request. To arrange a date and time for a visit, please contact the Preschool office at 703-273-4333 or FPPDirector@gmail.com.

Registration Process

Registration for the coming school year begins in early January. Members of Fairfax Presbyterian Church and families of current or former students are given priority in registering. Open registration for the public begins immediately after the Open House in late January. Please see our Homepage for specific registration dates and times.

All registration materials and forms are available for printing in the Forms & Policies section of our website. Registration forms are also distributed during the Open House or will be mailed to families upon request.

On the designated registration day, FPP begins accepting applications in the order of arrival on a first-come, first-served basis. To expedite the process, please arrive with the following forms and fees:

  • Completed Enrollment Packet (available in the Forms & Policies section of our website)
  • Check or cash for the non-refundable registration fee ($125) and 10% Tuition Deposit
  • Your child’s original birth certificate. FPP staff will review and immediately return the birth certificate to you.
  • A valid photo ID (such as a driver’s license)

If you are new to our Preschool, you may also need to complete the background check and TB screening documents for any adult who plans to serve as a Substitute in the classroom. Our Assistant Director is a notary and will be available to notarize all necessary documents during registration. If you are a returning FPP family, please check with the Preschool Office if you are uncertain of which forms to submit. FPP must receive all documents and fees to secure a place for your child in a particular class. Registration remains open until all spaces are filled. Some classes fill more quickly than others; each year is different.

Prior to the start of the school year, you must submit a Virginia School Entrance Health Form for your child. The form is available in the Forms & Policies section of our website and must be completed by your child’s physician.

Wait List

If a class is full at the time of registration, FPP will place your child’s name on a waiting list and notify you if a space becomes available in that class. We often have significant movement after registration and many families on our waitlist are ultimately accepted.
